8 Months Old!!!

James is 8 months old this is what he is up to...
Sits up, crawling, rolling, scooting, BITING (Teething), eating his solids twice daily, still nursing, drooling, laughing, hisses like a little snake, cheeses his big smile with a crinkled little nose and squinted eyes, getting into cupboards, pulling on the dishwasher door while we do dishes, slobbery kisses at night and morning, pulls on Coco's legs and ears, goes after Coco's food and water dishes, loves to ride in the grocery cart... not in his car seat, says "Ma!" "Da!" (mom and dad), and just being the sweet spirit he has always been!!
Gabe wanted his picture take as well!!!!
These two make life worth living!

Sunday Enjoyment

Enjoyment... to give you an idea of what that word it means to us on a our usual lazy Sundays [well sort of lazy for me and Jed at least, but kids not so much]. Gabe is curious as ever and finds new things to play with and his little imagination is mustering up new experiments, stories, and adventures.
I've been waiting for the whole experiment with mom's make up thing to happen, but so far we haven't crossed that road, thank the heavens above. But he did find something else of mine to experiment with. All I hear from the bathroom is the aerosol can going crazy. I'm trying to hurry and get James settle down for bed, and I hear Jed from the other room ask what's that sound!
I know it all to well because I use it everyday...
HAIRSPRAY!!!
What am I going to find when I either go to him or he comes to me? Oh that anxious dreaded feeling...

I guess it wasn't that bad... laughable, but not a horrible ordeal! However it did run like water down his face and into his eyes, but with a little bit of his own tears to wash it out on its own, and the screaming of "MY EYES! MY EYES!" he is now hairspray free!

Our other part of Sunday family day... was bribing James to crawl... if this is what you want to call crawling!!

This boy went from rolling extremely fast to where he wanted go, to army/swimming crawling to his destinations. He does this frog kicking thing when he gets really excited [which you get to see in the video]. He's done it since he has been able to roll onto his belly. That is his unique trait of infancy I think! Gabe did the exact same thing with his crawling... without the frog action, and then he actually crawled correctly for maybe about a week, then went right to walking. We'll see if James follows the pattern!

Teeth...

I was finally able to snap a picture of little man's teeth. Lets just say that nursing hasn't been pleasant so we are trying to ween him to a bottle, and that isn't going very smoothly. SIGH... I can't believe how fast everything is going... TEETH ALREADY? SERIOUSLY????  It seems as though with the second child everything goes even faster, maybe because I'm running around taking care of two instead of one.... but I wish I could push a slow motion button some days, and make time slow down. Even though time seems to be going fast, I'm grateful for every second I have with my boys!
