Jed and I met officially the summer before he left on his mission. He played sports with my older brother Tom, so we knew one another that way. I was always "Tom's little sister" to him, and he was always "oh my gosh there's Jed Leishman...he is soooo hott!" to me!! We hung out every now and then during the summer, but knew the timing wasn't right. But I had a dream he got his mission call so I thought I would email him about it, and he shortly got back to me the next day because he did get his call and was going somewhere special to the both of us. After he got his mission call to my ancestors place of origin... we knew it was meant to be because the Spanish would fit in perfectly! So we dated from October 2000 until he left on his mission in January 2001. I wrote him every week, and two years later he was back home!

We were engaged 21 days after he got back from his mission, I was still in high school [senior to be exact]. We knew we were meant for each other, and everything fell perfectly into place!

We lived in Idaho Falls for two years, each summer we would go to California so Jed could sell home security systems, I graduated from college, and then we were off to St. George. We both wanted to live there so badly, and I was able to find a job there quickly. That Fall 2006 we found out we were expecting our first child. The timing couldn't have been better. We went on a Manager's Retreat to Maui Hawaii so we were able to celebrate our pregnancy news in a tropical resort before the morning sickness set in... and it literally hit me the day we were flying home from Maui!
